Coach Gust begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Ottawa University football program.
Gust brings a diverse background in football operations, recruiting, analytics, and player development. He previously spent two years as a recruiting intern with the NCAA Division I football program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where he assisted the coaching staff with recruiting operations. He also served two years as an equipment manager for the Roadrunners, gaining valuable experience in the day-to-day management of a Division I football program.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Gust worked as a Data Collection Analyst for Pro Football Focus (PFF), charting games, evaluating players for the NFL Draft, contributing to statistical analysis, and assisting with football media content. His work with PFF strengthened his understanding of game evaluation, player performance metrics, and football analytics.
Away from the collegiate level, Gust has spent three years volunteering as a youth football coach in the San Antonio Sports League, helping develop young athletes while fostering a passion for the game.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Gust earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2019.
