Dr. Adam Wait is from El Dorado, Kan. and completed his undergraduate degree at Ottawa University in 1999. At Ottawa University he played football and was team captain for two years.
He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, graduating with his medical degree in 2005. After Internship and Residency in Pennsylvania he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship in Tampa, Fla. finishing in 2011.Â
Prior to joining Midwest Orthopaedics in 2015, he worked at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Mo.. Dr. Wait created the Western Missouri Sports Medicine program in 2012, working with athletic trainers to provide orthopedic and medical coverage for University of Central Missouri and multiple high school teams.
Dr. Wait currently works with many different high schools in the Kansas City and Ottawa areas. He currently sees patients at AdventHealth Ottawa as well as his office in Kansas City.
In his spare time, Dr. Wait enjoys spending time with his family including wife Amanda and three children Alivia, Ayla, and Addox (the A-team).
