Coach Wagner is in his second season as an assistant coach with the OU men's and women's wrestling programs.
Wagner comes to Ottawa University from the Wattsburg Area School District in Wattsburg, Pa. He was the head wrestling coach at Seneca High School and ELA Learning Support at the Wattsburg Area Middle School.
Wagner is no stranger to Ottawa University. He was two-year letterman for the men’s wrestling team. Wagner is a three-time NAIA National Tournament qualifier in the 149 pound weight class, twice for the Braves and once at Missouri Valley College. He was a two-time All-KCAC selection, winning the KCAC Championship in 2022 and placing second in 2023. Wagner finished his OU career with a record of 28-17 and a dual mark of 14-10. He was a NAIA Daktronic Scholar Athlete in 2022-23.
He graduated from Ottawa University with a degree in elementary education.
