Julius Ryan is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the Ottawa University baseball program after a standout playing career with the Braves.
Ryan completed his collegiate career as one of the top infielders in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. In 2026, he earned First Team All-KCAC honors at third base and was named a KCAC Gold Glove Award recipient for the second consecutive season. A team captain during his senior year, Ryan was recognized for his leadership, accountability, and commitment to setting the standard for the Braves both on and off the field.
During his playing career at Ottawa, Ryan assisted with practices, drills, and pregame preparation while mentoring younger student-athletes in skill development, academic success, and game preparation. He was also recognized for his academic achievements, earning the Jim Smith Scholar-Athlete Award and maintaining a 3.7 GPA while completing his bachelor's degree in sport leadership after earning an associate's degree in secondary education from Eastern Arizona College.
As a graduate assistant, Ryan works with the Braves in player development, practice organization, and daily baseball operations, bringing the same leadership, work ethic, and championship mindset that defined his playing career.
