Kiersten Markos is in her first year as a graduate student assistant with the Ottawa University athletic department while pursuing a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Elementary Education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Ottawa University in December of 2025, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.916 GPA.

Prior to joining the Braves' staff, Markos served as a basket instructor with Point Guard College (PGC), where she coached athletes ages 8-18, led on-court and classroom instruction, and emphasized skill development, leadership, and communication. She also completed a strength and conditioning internship at Gardner Edgerton High School, designing and implementing training programs, coaching weightlifting techniques, and assisting with athlete development. In addition, she gained hands-on experience through a strength and conditioning practicum at Ottawa University, helping prepare student-athletes for workouts, applying principles of biomechanics and exercise physiology, and utilizing performance data to enhance training programs.

A four-year member of the Ottawa University women's basketball program, Markos earned numerous academic honors during her collegiate career, including three NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete selections, multiple Dean's List recognitions, and two Ottawa University Medal of Excellence awards. She is certified in Adult First Aid and CPR/AED.
