Luis Diaz is in his first season as a graduate student assistant with the Ottawa University baseball program.
Diaz recently completed a standout playing career with the Braves, earning All-KCAC honors as a relief pitcher in each of his two seasons at Ottawa. He was named First Team All-KCAC in 2025 and Second Team All-KCAC in 2026 while helping lead the Braves to an NAIA Opening Round appearance.
Prior to Ottawa, Diaz played two seasons at Cochise College in Douglas, Ariz., after beginning his collegiate career at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minn.
In addition to his success on the field, Diaz was a member of Ottawa University's Student-Athlete Leadership Team, serving on the organization's social media team. He is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
Diaz earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Ottawa University in 2026 and is pursuing graduate studies while serving on the Braves' coaching staff.
