Coach Wright is in his second season as an assistant coach with the OU men's wrestling. 

During his first year, Coach Wright helped secure a large recruiting class for the 25-26 season, as well as completed his Master’s in Arts Leadership.  

Wright was a four year wrestling letterman for the Braves. He was the KCAC Champion at 141 pounds in 2020-21 and a three-time All-KCAC performer. 

He finished his career with a record of 85-38, a dual mark of 28-7, and 22 career falls and technical falls. 
 
Wright graduated from Ottawa University in May of 2023 with degree in exercise science. He was on the Dean’s List in 2020 and 2023 and one Dean’s Honor Roll in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Wright was Ottawa’s KCAC Champion of Character Award winner and was named OU’s 2022 Homecoming King.
