HASTINGS, Neb. – The Ottawa University fell to no. 2 University of Jamestown but bounced back to take a 3-2; 25-22, 25-18, 24-26, 21-25, 15-9; victory over nationally ranked Hastings College on Saturday afternoon.
Kaitlyn Haller recorded her second career triple double and the program's fourth in the win.
How it Happened – (2) University of Jamestown
- Ottawa fell behind early in set one to Jamestown, 4-1. OU was not able to rebound from its slow start and the Jimmies took the 25-15 victory.
- Jamestown took the 9-1 lead over the Braves in set two. Ottawa rallied, scoring eight straight points and after a kill by Alexa Boyle, Ottawa was within 17-16. After two straight points by Jamestown, the Braves went on another run, scoring the next four points on kills by Radaisy Valdez and Boyle. Jamestown answered with a run of its own, taking a 24-21 lead. Ottawa did not fold, scoring the next three points to tie the set 24-24. The teams exchanged points and was tied again, 26-26, after an Elli Rogers kill. The Jimmies, responded by scoring the next two points of the set to take the 28-26 victory.
- The Jimmies had a 16-5 lead in set three. Ottawa was not able to rally in the final set of play and Jamestown took the 25-17 victory.

- Hastings took a 5-2 lead over the Braves in set one. OU rallied, going on a 5-0 run to take a 17-13 lead over Hastings. The Broncos tried to rally, cutting OU's lead to 24-22. Ottawa was able to take the set on the next point, an Ellie Rogers kill, 25-22.
- Kills by Haylee O'Meara and Kaitlyn Haller gave the Braves a 9-7 lead over Hastings in set two. The Broncos stayed with close, tying the set at 13-13. Ottawa responded by scoring seven straight points, taking a 20-13 lead. Hastings was not able to rally and OU took the 25-18 victory.
- In set three, Ottawa scored the first three points. A HC attacking error and a kill by Rogers gave the Braves a 9-5 lead. Hastings chipped away at the Brave lead and tied the set, 15-15. The teams exchanged points and was tied, 24-24. The Broncos scored the final two points of the set, taking the 26-24 victory.
- The Braves started set four slow and trailed 7-3. OU rallied, cutting Hastings lead to 12-11. Ottawa stayed close and was able to tie the set, 19-19, on a Haller kill. HC scored the next three points, taking a 22-19 lead over the Braves. Ottawa was not able stage a comeback and Hastings took the 25-21 victory.
- A kill by Radaisy Valdez, a HC attacking error and a service ace by Haller gave OU a 3-0 lead over Hastings to start set five. Two kills by Katelyn Elstun and a block by Rogers and O'Meara gave OU an 8-3 lead. The Broncos did not go away and cut OU's lead to 11-9. Ottawa responded by scoring the four points of the set, taking the 15-9 victory on a Valdez kill.
