OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's volleyball team earned its seven straight victory and its sixth straight sweep with a 3-0; 25-18, 25-19, 25-17; win over Tabor College on Saturday afternoon in Wilson Field House.
How it Happened
- Ottawa took the early lead over Tabor in set one. A kill by Radaisy Valdez gave the Braves the 6-1 lead. OU added to its lead with an Alexa Boyle kill, 11-6. Tabor never threatened the OU lead and the Braves took the 25-18 victory.
- Tabor scored the first three points of set two. Ottawa answered with four straight points, taking a 4-3 lead over the Bluejays on a TC attacking error. Kills by Katelyn Elstun and Haylee O'Meara and a service ace from Presley Crader gave OU a 9-6 lead. Ottawa increased its lead to 17-11 over Tabor on a block by Kaitlyn Haller and Valdez. Ottawa held the Bluejays in check for the remainder of the set, winning the set 25-19.
- The Braves jumped out to the 4-1 lead in set three and never looked back, taking the 25-17 victory.
