Braves Fall to #6 OKWU

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Ottawa University women's soccer team fell to No. 6 Oklahoma Wesleyan 12-1 on Wednesday night.

There wasn't much offense for OU in this match, sitting back on defense in attempt to slow down the Eagles potent offense. The Braves managed to make things difficult for the Eagles in the opening 30 minutes, only allowing two goals. The Eagles started to capitalize on their scoring chances after the first 30 minutes, scoring three goals in the last 15 minutes of the half to take a 5-0 halftime lead.  Braves goalkeeper Anna Tropansky was called into action, with eight first half saves against 13 shots on goal.

The Eagles maintained the same offensive production in the second half, with the final score finishing 12-1. Reighna Werner scored in the 83rd minute to put the Braves on the board, her second goal of the season.
