Braves are Defeated by Washburn, 96-63

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's basketball team lost 96-63 to Washburn University in an exhibition game on Saturday afternoon in Lee Arena.

In the first half the Braves trailed by as much as 18 points. Ottawa rallied and cut the deficit to 10 points, 39-29 on a layup by Curtis Scott with 2:38 to go in the first half. Washburn ended the half on an 8-3 run, taking a 48-32 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, the Braves were not able to cut into the Ichabod lead and Washburn took the 96-63 victory.
