BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Ottawa University men's basketball team fell 98-64 to no. 8 Oklahoma Wesleyan University at the Mueller Sports Center on Tuesday night.
Oklahoma Wesleyan started the game on a 12-2 run. The Braves chipped away at the Eagle lead, putting together a 15-8 run to get within three points, 20-17, on an
Elijah Mason basket with 10:07 left in the half.
OKWU pushed its lead back to double digits, 34-22. Ottawa again cut into the Eagle lead and with 5:23 on the clock,
Amil Fields' basket put OU within 36-30.
The Eagles responded by ending the half on a 13-6 run and took a 49-36 lead into the locker room.
In the first 3:23 of the second half, the Eagles pushed its lead to 16 points, 60-44. The Braves were not able to rally and OKWU took the 98-64 victory.
