KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The (RV) Ottawa University women's wrestling team battled four teams at the Avila Duals on Friday in Kansas City. The Braves defeated Avila University, 31-13. Ottawa fell to #8 Central Methodist 37-12, Indian Hills CC 33-23 and #12 Missouri Baptist 29-19.

Macey Gross and
Mikinlee Smith won both of their matches on forfeits, Gross in the 123lb weight class and Smith in the 136lb weight division. #17
Livia Swift secured a win in the 143lb weight division on a fall and
Abigail Sebesta won her match in the 155lb weight division on a fall as well.
Hannah Corral earned a victory in the 170lb weight division on a fall. #10
Darby Weidl wrestled one weight class up at 191lb and won on a technical fall.
Ottawa vs. #8 Central Methodist
Livia Swift and
Darby Weidl earned the two wins for the Braves in the dual. Swift won on a fall in the 143lb weight class and Weidl earned the victory on a technical fall in the 170lb weight division.
Ottawa vs. Indian Hills CC
The Braves won four matches against Indian Hills.
Madelynn Griffin continues her strong season with a technical fall win in the 130lb weight division.
Livia Swift won on a fall in the 143lb weight division and
Ingrid Beltran-Gonzaga earned a victory by fall in the 155lb weight class.
Darby Weidl won in the 170lb weight division on another technical fall.
Ottawa vs. #12 Missouri Baptist
Olivia O'Donnell won her match on a forfeit in the 116lb weight division.
Abigail Sebesta picked up her second win of the day with a fall victory in the 170lb weight class, which is one weight class up from her original.
Darby Weidl also wrestled a weight class up and she earned another victory on a fall in the 191lb weight division.
