Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Slow Start Bites (RV)Braves at Benedictine

ATCHISON, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa University men's lacrosse team fell to Benedictine on the road in a 17-10 loss on Tuesday evening.

The No. 8-ranked Ravens came out blazing, opening the game with seven straight goals to take a 9-1 advantage in the opening quarter. The Braves started to find some life offensively in the second period, closing out the first half with two goals to make the score 10-3. OU carried that momentum into the second half, scoring two more goals to go on a four goal run and cut the deficit to 10-5. Unfortunately that was as close as the game would get for OU. Both teams went goal-for-goal in the second half, the difference in the game came down to Benedictine's fast start.

With the win, the Ravens finish the KCAC season at 8-2 and earn the No. 2 seed and a Quarterfinals bye with their head-to-head win over the Braves who also finished at 8-2 in KCAC play. The Braves will be the No. 3 seed, hosting No 6. Seed Midland on Saturday at 5 pm.
