CHICKASHA, Okla. – The Ottawa University softball team's season ended on Saturday night with an 8-0, six inning, loss to no. 20 College of Idaho in the NAIA Opening Round.

The Coyotes broke the 0-0 tie in the top of the fifth inning, scoring seven runs to take the lead. College of Idaho pushed one more run across home plate in the top of the sixth to increase its lead to 8-0. Ottawa was not able to extend the game in the bottom of the sixth and College of Idaho took the game 8-0.

• Hannah Copeland went 2-for-3 at the plate. Allison Kearney had the other hit for the Braves.
• Casson Rasmussen pitched four innings, striking out two.

The Braves finish the season with an overall record of 36-15-1, a KCAC regular season championship, and an appearance in a NAIA Opening Round.
