GREAT BEND, Kan. – The Ottawa University softball team fell in its second game at the KCAC Softball Tournament on Friday evening, 5-1, to McPherson College.
Ottawa struck first, taking the early lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Madison Bunfill doubled to left-center, scoring
Riley Newbold and OU led 1-0.
McPherson answered with a run in the top of the second to tie the game, 1-1. The Bulldogs then scored one in the third and three in the fourth to take a 5-1 lead over the Braves. Ottawa was not able to rally in its final three at bats, falling to McPherson 5-1.
