The Braves fell in their season and home opener last Saturday night to no. 8 Southwestern College at AdventHealth Field, 29-6. Ottawa had a 6-2 lead over Southwestern at the half. SWC scored 14 points in the third and 13 in the fourth to take the victory.
Ottawa finished the game with 248 yards of offense, 102 rushing and 146 passing. Southwestern had 214 yards through the air and 91 yards on the ground for 305 yards of offense.
OU is 4-5 in season openers since 2015. The Braves are now 55-66-8 in season openers after the loss to Southwestern.
