OTTAWA, Kan. – A complete team performance on both sides of the ball led to a 6-0 win over William Woods for the Ottawa men's soccer team on Wednesday evening at AdventHealth Field.
Slobodan Novicevic scored the opening goal for OU just four minutes into the game, assisted by
Jack Hatswell. The Owls tightened up defensively for the next 30 minutes and created some chances of their own offensively, but were unable get past Braves keeper
Gage Powers who had two saves in the first half. The Braves found another breakthrough in the 30
th minute, this time from wicked shot from
Lazar Milovic that went into upper corner. The Braves headed into the break up 2-0.
Ottawa continued to pour it on in the second half, with
Francisco Arrua scoring his second goal of the season in the 52
nd minute. Five minutes later, the Braves would take a 4-0 lead following Novicevic's second goal of the game.
Bence Molnar and
Jonathan Rawayo both scored a goal in the second half for some extra insurance. Up 6-0 with 15 minutes left to play, the Braves cruised to the victory over the Owls.
