Braves and Warriors Meet in Wilson Field House on Wednesday

The Braves broke their two game losing streak with a 79-58 victory over the University of Saint Mary on Saturday afternoon at the Ryan Sports Center. Ottawa shot 50.9 percent from the floor, 40 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 86.7 percent from the free throw line. Deondre Buggage led the Braves with 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor. Amil Fields finished the game with 15 points and Tristen Hull came off the bench to score 14 points.

Deondre Buggage leads the Braves in scoring (16.5) and assists (2) per game. Amil Fields is OU's leader in rebounding (8.6) and blocks (1.5) per game. Elijah Mason and Fields are OU's leaders in blocks per game (0.5).

In Wilson Field House, Ottawa is 5-3 this season and 2-2 in KCAC play. OU is scoring 85.4 points per game while opponents are averaging 80.9 points per game. The Braves won the three meetings last season, defeating SC on No. 21, 2021 in Wilson Field House 84-53, taking a 94-90 victory at the Gleason Center on Jan. 13, 2022 and winning 93-70 in the first game of the KCAC Tournament in Wilson Field House on Feb. 22, 93-70.

Ottawa is on a three game home winning streak against Sterling. OU's last loss to the Warriors in Wilson Field House was on Feb. 17, 2021. Sterling won in overtime, 108-102.

Sterling College is 9-7 overall and 5-5 in the KCAC. The Warriors are 1-4 on the road this season and enter Wednesday's game coming off an 83-71 loss to no. 8 Oklahoma Wesleyan on Jan. 7 in Sterling.

In the loss to OKWU, Sterling shot 44.8 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 54.5 percent from the free throw line (12-22). Cedric Rollerson led SC in scoring with 15 points, Lucas Briar and Derrian Reed finished with 13 points apiece, Taron Batie finished the game with 11 points and Kavonte Kinny scored 10 points.

This season, Sterling is averaging 76.1 points, 38.3 rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game. The Warriors are shooting 43.5 percent from the floor, 32.9 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 73 percent from the free throw line.

Sterling is ranked 21st in the NAIA in free throws made per game (15.6) and 35th in free throws attempted per game (21.3).

Cedric Rollerson leads Sterling in scoring (16), assists (3.1), and steals (1.6) per game. Kavonte Kinney is SC's leader in rebounding (7.3) and Elias Ngoga is the team's leader in blocks per game (1.4).
