LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The (RV) Ottawa University women's wrestling team faced off against four teams at the NWCA National Duals on Friday and Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
Randie Scoon went 4-0 in her first action of the season.
Ottawa fell in their first match to Southern Oregon, 43-6.
Randie Scoon won her first match on a fall in the 155lb weight division.
Ottawa vs. University of Cumberlands – L, 29-21
The Braves battled against Cumberlands but came up short. Four braves secured victories in their respective matches.
Macey Gross won by fall in the 123lb weight division and
Jaidyn Andrews also picked up the win on a fall in the 130lb weight class.
Abigail Sebesta earned the victory in the 143lb weight division on a fall and
Randie Scoon won her second match on a fall in the 155lb weight division.
Ottawa vs. Missouri Baptist – L, 29-15
Mikinlee Smith won her match in the 136lb weight division on a forfeit.
Randie Scoon continued her impressive tournament with another win and this time in one weight class up in the 170lb and
Darby Weidl also wrestled one weight class up in the 191lb weight division and won her match on a technical fall.
Ottawa vs. Iowa Wesleyan, L, 30-14
Another match and another win for
Randie Scoon, this time she won by fall in the 155lb weight division.
Ingrid Beltran-Gonzaga won a match in the 170lb weight division on a forfeit. Weidl won another match in the 191lb weight division on a fall.
