(21) Women's Volleyball Falls to (18) Bellevue, 3-0

BELLEVUE, Neb. – The (21) Ottawa University women's volleyball team fell 3-0; 25-12, 25-22, 25-14; to no. 18 Bellevue University on Friday morning.

How it Happened
  • Ottawa trailed Bellevue 9-1 to start set one. The Braves were not able recover from its slow start and the Bruins took the 25-12 victory.
  • A kill by Radaisy Valdez and a block by Kira Cherry and Lillian Holden gave OU a 3-2 lead over Bellevue in set two. BU scored the next five points, taking a 7-3 lead over the Braves. Ottawa chipped away at the deficit and after a block by Holden and Cherry, Ottawa was within 14-13. The Bruins answered by increasing their lead to 23-18. Ottawa responded by scoring the next four points and were within 23-22 after a block by Chaney Barth and Valdez. Bellevue, however, was able to score the next two points, taking the set 25-22.
  • In set three, Bellevue jumped out to an 11-4 lead. OU was not able to rally, and Bellevue took the 25-14 victory.
