OTTAWA, Kan. – The (25) Ottawa University women's volleyball team split a pair of five set match in Wilson Field House on Saturday afternoon. The Braves fell 3-2; 25-22, 23-25, 25-19, 20-25, 13-15; to Bethel College. Ottawa took a 3-2; 24-26, 25-15, 25-14, 21-25, 15-13; victory over Sterling College.
Bethel College
- Ottawa finished the match with 62 kills, a .139 attacking percentage, 53 assists, four service aces, and eight team blocks.
- Radaisy Valdez led OU with 18 kills. She had five digs and three blocks. Katelyn Elstun was second on the team in kills with 13 and Chaney Barth finished with 11 kills.
- Both OU setters were one dig away from double-doubles. Ryleigh Sander had 29 assists and nine digs and Madison Brauner finished with 20 assists and nine digs.
- Jadore Hayes finished the match with 30 digs and Kennedi Wyrick had 22.
- Lillian Holden led Ottawa with four blocks.
Sterling College
- The Braves had 67 kills, a .242 attacking percentage, 63 assists, seven service aces, 99 digs, and 10 team blocks in five sets.
- Radaisy Valdez had 29 kills and a .500 attacking percentage. She also had seven digs and seven blocks.
- Madison Brauner finished the match with a double-double. She had 27 assists and 10 digs. Ryleigh Sander had 31 assists.
- Jadore Hayes led OU with 34 digs and Kennedi Wyrick finished with 12 digs.
Who is Next
Ottawa (19-10, 8-3) returns to the court on Wednesday, Nov. 1 against the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
