VICTORIA, Texas – The Ottawa University baseball team fell 10-9 to the University of Houston-Victoria on Saturday evening at Riverside Stadium.
The Jaguars struck first, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first. Ottawa cut into the UHV lead in the top of the second. 
Alex Kuhn, in as a courtesy runner for 
Nicholas Sizemore, scored on a wild pitch and OU was down 3-1.
UHV scored on run in the bottom of the second to increase its lead to 4-1. Ottawa answered in the top of the third. With two outs, 
Cole Broughton reached first on an error by the UHV third baseman. 
Lukas Rich walked, giving the Braves runners at first and second. A single to right by 
Jonah Weisner scored Broughton and OU trailed 4-2. Sizemore doubled, scoring Rich and Weisner to tie the game at four all.
In the top of the fourth, OU took its first lead of the game. Rich's infield single scored 
Jarret Gage, giving OU a 5-4 lead.
Ottawa scored four runs on one hit and two errors in the top of the sixth to increase its lead to 9-4. UHV rallied, scoring one run in the sixth and two in the seventh to get within 9-7.
In the bottom of the 9
th, with two outs, UHV's Ty Williams hit a three run home run to take the 10-9 victory.

Ottawa (4-5) returns to the diamond on Friday, Feb. 17 in a double header with Northwestern College. Game one is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
