HILLSBORO, Kan. – The Ottawa University baseball team fell twice to Tabor College on Saturday afternoon. The Bluejays took game one, 7-6, and game two, 5-2.
Game One
Tabor took a 2-0 lead over the Braves with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Bluejays extended their lead to 3-0 with a run in the bottom of the third. Ottawa tied the game in the top of the fifth.
Zachary Spradlin doubled and then moved to third on an error by the TC center fielder. Another error by the Bluejays, this on by the short stop, scored Spradlin and OU was within 3-1. 
Tyler Farnham reached first on a walk and 
Cole Broughton scored him with a home run, tying the game at 3-3.
Tabor responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to retake the lead, 7-3. Ottawa chipped away at the deficit. 
Brandon Kelley doubled to center and then scored on a double by 
Connor Jeffers, 7-4. 
Gabe Eckstaine, who came in as a pinch runner for Jeffers, moved to third on a double by 
Robby Williams. A passed ball by the TC catcher scored Eckstaine and OU with down 7-5.
Ottawa scored one more run in the top of the seventh on a 
Lukas Rich home run to get with in 7-6. OU was not able to complete the comeback in the final two innings and Tabor took the 7-6 victory.

Game Two
Tabor scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take the early lead. The Bluejays extended their lead with a run in the second, 4-0.
The Braves cut into the TC lead in the top of the fourth. 
Brandon Kelley singled to left and the moved to second on a 
Nicholas Sizemore walk. 
Luis DeLeon's ground out moved the runners to second and third. Ottawa cut into the Tabor lead with a 
Robby Williams RBI single, 4-1.

Alex Kuhn and OU was within 4-2.
Tabor put an insurance run on the board in the top of the fifth to take a 5-2 lead. Ottawa was not able to rally in sixth and seventh innings and TC took the 5-2 victory.
