OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's flag football team pitched two shut outs on Wednesday night at AdventHealth Field. The Braves defeated the University of Saint Mary 68-0 and Cottey College, 46-0.
The Braves had a total of 724 yards of offense, averaging 362 yards per game. OU rushed for 142 and passed for 582.
The OU defense held USM and Cottey to a total of 287 yards of offense, 20 rushing and 267 passing, for an average of 143.5 yards per game. The Braves tallied eight interceptions and sacked the opponent's quarterback five times. Ottawa's defensive secondary had 10 pass break ups.
