Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's soccer team dropped their first KCAC match of the season as they fell to (10) Oklahoma Wesleyan by a score of 8-0 on Wednesday evening.
Oklahoma Wesleyan started off the scoring early, as they took a 1-0 lead off a Kirill Pakhomov goal. The Eagles would wait a while to score again, scoring in the 39th minute to take a 2-0 lead going into halftime. In the second half, Oklahoma Wesleyan didn't linger as they scored goals in the 56th, 60th, 64th, 65th, 67th, and 81st minutes to take home the 8-0 victory. The Eagles peppered the Ottawa goal, outshooting the Braves 26-9 (14-5 shots on goal.)
The Braves return to the field on Saturday, September 23 as they host Kansas Wesleyan University at AdventHealth Field. That match is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 PM.
