Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa women's soccer team suffered their first conference loss as they fell on the road to #5 Oklahoma Wesleyan by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday evening.
The scores stayed level for quite some time as the two teams entered halftime knotted 0-0. Oklahoma Wesleyan sruck first with a Tania Mocholi goal in the 66th minute, and the Eagles would make the lead 2 in the 79th as Mocholi scored again. Alana Doherty scored in the 83rd minute for Oklahoma Wesleyan, assisted by Tania Mocholi. Oklahoma Wesleyan heavily outshot Ottawa, the Eagles taking 24 to the Braves 2, and led shots on goal 18-1.
Ottawa takes the field next on Friday, September 22 at AdventHealth Field as they will complete their suspended game against York University. That contest is scheduled to kick off at 2 PM, and the game will pick up in the 66th minute with the score set at 1-1.
