SALINA, Kan. – The (18) Ottawa University women's volleyball team fell 3-2 to Kansas Wesleyan University but rebounded to take a 3-0 win over Hannibal LaGrange University.

How it Happened
- The Coyotes took an 11-5 lead over the Braves in set one. Ottawa was not able to answer and KWU took the 25-13 victory.
- Ottawa had an early 8-5 lead over Kansas Wesleyan in set two after a Lillian Holden kill. The Braves extended their lead to 16-11 on a Coyote attacking error. KWU cut into the OU lead and were within 24-22. Ottawa took the set on the next point, a block by Holden and Mason Blythe, 25-22.
- With set three tied, 7-7, Ottawa scored the next four points to take an 11-7 lead over KWU. The Braves increased their lead to 17-12 on a Holden kill. KWU rallied, taking a 23-21 lead over the Braves. Ottawa responded by scoring the final four points of the set, taking the 25-23 victory.
- Kansas Wesleyan scored the first four points of set four. Ottawa responded and after a kill by Chaney Barth, the Braves had an 8-7 lead. A kill by Katelyn Elstun and a block by Elstun and Radaisy Valdez gave OU a 13-9 lead. KWU rallied and took an 18-16 lead over the Braves. Ottawa was not able to stage a comeback and Kansas Wesleyan took the 25-20 victory.
- Ottawa led 10-8 in set five. Kansas Wesleyan rallied and tied the set. The teams exchanged points and after a Valdez kill, the set was tied 16-16. OU was not able to close out the set and KWU scored the final two points, taking the 18-16 victory.

How it Happened
- A Trojan service error, back-to-back kills by Radaisy Valdez, and a kill by Kira Cherry gave OU a 4-1 lead in set one. A Blyth Manson kill gave the Braves a 9-5 lead. HLGU rallied and tied the set at nine all. Ottawa responded with a 9-3 run, taking the lead 18-12 on a Cherry kill. The Trojans were able to cut the Brave lead to 18-16 but OU closed the set by scoring the final seven points to take the 25-16 victory.
- A kill by Valdez and block by Brittan Lee and Valdez gave OU a 9-7 lead in set two. The Trojans rallied and took a 12-11 lead over the Braves. Ottawa responded with four straight points, taking a 15-12 lead on a Jontara West service ace. The Braves did not allow HLGU an opportunity to rally, taking the 25-19 victory.
- Ottawa built a 16-6 lead over the Trojans in set three. OU's lead was never threatened, and the Braves took the 25-11 victory.
