PARKVILLE, Mo. – The (14) Ottawa University women's volleyball team defeated Missouri Valley College 3-2 but fell 3-0 to no. 6 Park University on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Set one went back and forth and the set was tied 12-12 on a bad set by the Vikings. Missouri Valley scored the next four points, taking a 16-12 lead over OU. Ottawa tried to rally and were within 20-18 after a Jadore Hayes service ace. OU was not able to complete the comeback, falling 25-21 to Missouri Valley.
- Ottawa rebounded in set two, only allowing seven set points by MVC. Two straight blocks by Radaisy Valdez and a MVC attacking error gave OU a 7-1 lead. Ottawa held the Vikings to six more points for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-7 victory.
- In set three, Ottawa had a 23-20 lead over Missouri Valley. The Vikings rallied, ending the set by scoring the final five points to take the 25-23 victory.
- The Braves took a 9-5 lead over MVC in set four after a Carson Schuman service ace. Kills by Katleyn Elstun and Valdez gave OU a 13-8 lead. The Braves did not allow MVC an opportunity to rally and OU took the 25-21 victory.
- Ottawa reached eight first in set five and had an 8-5 lead. A kill by Kira Cherry and Valdez gave OU an 11-8 lead. The Vikings rallied and tied the set, 11-11. After an OU timeout, the Braves ended the set by scoring the final four points, taking the 15-11 victory.

- In five sets, Ottawa had 58 kills, a .292 attacking percentage, 52 assists, six service ace, 67 digs, and 18 team blocks.
- Radaisy Valdez and Chaney Barth had double digit kills for OU. Valdez led OU with 21 kills and nine blocks. She also had five digs. Barth had 11 kills and two blocks.
- Ryleigh Sander finished the match with a double-double. She had 31 assists and 12 digs.
- Madison Brauner was one dig away from a double-double. She had 20 assists and nine digs.

- Lillian Holden had eight blocks and Kira Cherry tallied seven blocks.

How it Happened
- Set one went back and forth. A kill by Radaisy Valdez put OU within 20-19. Blythe Manson's kill cut the Pirate lead to 24-23. Ottawa was not able to complete the comeback and Park took the 25-23 victory.
- The Braves took the 3-1 lead to start set two on two Valdez kills and a Park attacking error. The Pirates rallied and took a 19-14 lead over the Braves. Ottawa was not able to respond, falling 25-18.
- Park scored the first three points of set three but a Jadore Hayes service ace and a Valdez kill tied the set, 8-8. Back-to-back blocks by Kira Cherry and Valdez gave OU a 12-9 lead over Park. The Pirates scored the next four points, taking a 13-12 lead over OU. Ottawa responded with five straight points and led 17-13 after a Cherry kill. The Pirates answered with a 9-1 run to take a 22-18 lead over OU. The Braves were not able to rally, and Park took the 25-21 victory.
