The Braves opened the 2024-25 season with a 93-39 victory over Barclay College on Tuesday night in Wilson Field House. Ottawa put two marks in the OU single-game record book. The Braves had 26 steals which is second all-time and their 91 field goals attempted are tied for third all-time in the OU record book.

Abby Dietsche and
Dominique Schutte lead the Braves in scoring, averaging 14 points per game.
Abbie Sextro is OU's leader in rebounding, averaging seven per game.
Nora Ford leads the Braves in assists (4), Dietsche leads OU in blocks (3), and Ford is the team's leader in steals (5) per game.
Saturday is the first time that Ottawa and Stephens College have played against each other. Sunday will be the fifth time that the Braves and Cougars have played against each other. Columbia leads the series, 1-3. Ottawa won the last meeting on Nov. 22, 2013, 54-53. The first time that the two teams played against each other was on Jan. 4, 2002 in Columbia. The Cougars won the game, 80-55.
Stephens College finished the 2023-24 season with a record of 23-8 and a conference mark of 16-2. The Stars fell in the national tournament to Marian, 63-49. Stephens is receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll and was selected to finish second in the AMC by the conference coaches.
Last season, Stephens College averaged 77.5 points, 38 rebounds, and 15 assists per game. They shot 43 percent from the floor, 29.7 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 63.7 percent from the free throw line.
Chu Crockett led SC in scoring and rebounding last season, averaging 13.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Mia Morel was the team's leader in assists (3.5), Crockett led the Stars in blocks (1.4), and Moral led Stephens in steals (2.4) per game.
Columbia College ended the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 27-5 and an AMC mark of 27-5. The Cougars are receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll and are selected to win by AMC by the conference coaches. Columbia fell in at the national tournament to Wayland Baptist University 66-62.

DeLaney Horstman led Columbia College in scoring and rebounding last season, averaging 15.2 points and 11 rebounds per game. Abby Backes was Columbia's leader in assists (3.6) per game, Horstman led the team in blocks per game (1.6), and Allison Stiers led the team in steals (1.2) per game.
