Men's Basketball Falls to Chadron State, 83-67

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Ottawa University men's basketball team fell 83-67 to Chadron State College in an exhibition game on Friday morning at Municipal Auditorium.

Chadron State opened the game on a 9-0 run. The Eagles extended their lead over the Braves to 25-7 with 11:15 left in the first half. OU did not go away and battled back. Ottawa ended the first half on a 24-16 run, trailing CSC 41-31 at the half.

Ottawa scored five straight points to start the second half. A free throw by Landyn Tyler put OU within 41-36 with 18:52 on the clock. The Eagles responded with an 11-5 run to take a 51-41 lead over the Braves.

The Braves were able to cut the Eagles lead to eight points, 60-52, on a Micah Willis free throw. That is all the closer the Braves were able to get. Chadron State ended the game by outscoring OU 23-15, taking the 83-67 victory.
