Men's Basketball Hosts Kansas Wesleyan in Wilson Field House on Saturday

The Braves were defeated 83-67 by Chadron State College on Friday morning in an exhibition game. Ottawa shot 34.7 percent from the floor, 15 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 75 percent from the free throw line. OU was led in scoring by Micah Willis with 19 points on 7-for-18 shooting from the floor. Landyn Tyler scored 15 points and Najee Jones finished the game with 14 points.

Through five games this season, Ottawa is averaging 89.4 points, 47.2 rebounds, and 17.8 assists per game. OU shot 48.3 percent from the floor, 29.6 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 74.2 percent from the free throw line.

Keith Robinson leads the Braves in scoring (18.6) and rebounding (7). Deondre Buggage is OU's leader in assists per game (4), Alex Riddick leads the team in blocks (1.0), and Najee Jones is the Braves' leader in steals (3.0) per game.

The first ever meeting between the two teams happened in 1900. OU won the game, 18-8.

Kansas Wesleyan University is 4-1 this season and enters Saturday's game coming off a 92-86 loss to Morningside University on Nov. 9. That loss broke KWU's four game winning streak. The Coyotes are 1-1 on the road this season.

Through five games this season, KWU is averaging 80 points, 37.8 rebounds, and 15.4 assists per game. Kansas Wesleyan is shooting 46.7 percent from the floor, 42 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 69.5 percent from the free throw line.
