Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's soccer team finished out their regular season win as they trounced Sterling 10-0 on Saturday evening at AdventHealth Field.
The Braves began their scoring in the 15th minute, when
Bence Molnar scored a goal assisted by
Cale Scott.
Jevan Purcell-Jackson added to the lead in the 24th minute with a goal assisted by
Toby Witham, and Witham scored another goal in the exact same minute, assisted by Scott. At halftime, the Braves had a 3-0 lead, but wasted no time to score again after the break, with
Jack Hatswell netting a 48th minute penalty kick goal, followed by
Toby Witham's second goal in the 49th minute, this time assisted by
Bence Molnar.
Cale Scott also scored in the 49th minute, also assisted by Molnar. Scott added to his total in the 58th minute, assisted by Molnar again. In the 62 minute, Molnar found the back of the net again with a goal assisted by
Alonso Basauri.
Slobodan Novicevic scored the final two goals for the Braves in the 63rd and 87th minutes, assisted by Molnar and
Jarrin Kerkhoff, respectively.
Ottawa outshot Sterling 23 to six, and led shots on goal, 16 to three.

Toby Witham, and
Bence Molnar each scored braces. Molnar made four assists, Scott made two.
Marko de Sa Faria made three saves en route to a combined clean sheet with
Javier Barraso.
The Braves finish the regular season with an 8-7-3 overall record and a 7-3-3 KCAC record. They will open their postseason in the KCAC Tournament quarterfinals, which will be held on Wednesday, November 6. Location, time, and opponent are to be determined and will be announced at a later date.
