Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's soccer team kept their postseason alive as they beat Friends by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday evening at AdventHealth Field.
The Braves scored first, with 
Alonso Basauri netting a 35th minute goal, assisted by 
Cale Scott. Friends evened things up at one after an own goal in the 40th minute. 
Jevan Purcell-Jackson broke the deadlock once more in the 56th minute, and 
Alonso Basauri added on in the 58th minute with a goal assisted by Purcell-Jackson. 
Bence Molnar got in on the scoring in the 80th minute with an unassisted goal.
Friends outshot Ottawa 16 to 13, but the Braves led in shots on goal, seven to six. 
Marko de Sa Faria made five saves in goal for Ottawa.
Ottawa (9-7-3, 7-3-3 KCAC) returns to the field on Friday, November 8, as they take on Kansas Wesleyan University in the KCAC Tournament semifinals. That match will be played at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas, and kickoff is set for 12 PM.
