Wichita, KAN. - The Ottawa men's soccer team got their regular season revenge as they defeated Kansas Wesleyan by a score of 2-0 on Friday afternoon in Wichita.
The first goal of the game came in the 21st minute, when
Slobodan Novicevic knocked one in from
Cale Scott. The Braves went into halftime up 1-0, and doubled their lead in the 62nd minute with an
Alonso Basauri goal assisted by Jevan-Purcell Jackson.
Both teams were even on shots with ten each, but Ottawa led shots on goal six to three.
Marko de Sa Faria made two saves in goal en route to a clean sheet for the Braves.
Ottawa (10-7-3, 6-3-3 KCAC) has advanced to the KCAC Tournament championship game against Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday, November 13. That match will be played at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas, and kickoff is set for 1 PM.
