Men's Basketball Runs Past Tabor, 101-66

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's basketball team won its fifth straight game, defeating Tabor College 101-66 on Wednesday night in Wilson Field House.

The first half went back and forth with OU taking an 18-16 lead over Tabor on a basket by PJ Twa with 9:20 on the clock. The Bluejays tied the game on their next offensive possession, but OU quickly responded. A 3-pt field goal by Twa gave the Braves a 21-18 lead.

Tabor did not go away and tied the game for the fifth time, 26-26, with 3:39 left in the first half. A three by Deondre Buggage and two Najee Jones free throws gave OU a 31-26 lead. The Bluejays were able to cut OU's lead to three points, 36-33, with 41 seconds on the clock. Jones answered for OU, scoring the Braves' final four points of the half and OU took a 40-34 lead into the locker room.

In the first six minutes of the second half, Ottawa held Tabor to two points. During that stretch, the Braves built their lead to 29 points, taking a 65-36 lead on a 3-pt field goal by Jayden Hibbitt. OU was in control for the remainder of the game, taking the 101-66 victory.
