Women's Basketball Inks Ali Daniels for 2025-26

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's basketball program is pleased to announce the signing of Alison Daniels for the 2025-26 season. She is from Owensville, Mo. and attends Owensville High School.

Daniels lettered in basketball, softball, track, and cross country at Owensville High School. She was a class officer, part of DECA, and was on the Student Council. Daniels helped OHS to a Final Four on the basketball court, finishing fourth. She also helped the cross country team to a third place finish at the state meet and helped the Dutch Girls' 4X100M Relay team to a fourth place finish at the state track meet.

In 2024-25, Daniels earned academic all-conference and academic all-state honors on the softball diamond. She was a Second Team All-Conference selection and earned Second Team All-District. As a member of the cross country team, she earned academic all-conference.

In 2023-24, Daniels earned academic all-conference and all-state as a member of the OHS softball team. On the basketball court, she was a First Team All-Conference selection and earned First Team All-District. Daniels also was an academic all-conference selection. As a member of the track team, she was academic all-conference and all-state. Daniels helped the 4x100M Relay team to a conference championship and a district championship. She was part of the 4x200M Relay conference championship team and was a Second Team All-Conference in the 4x400M Relay Team. The 4x400M Relay team earned Third Team All-District.

During the 2022-23 season, Daniels was an academic all-conference selection in basketball, softball, and track. She earned academic all-state honors in softball and track. On the basketball court, she was an All-Conference and All-District selection. Daniels was part of the 4x400M Relay conference championship team and was a third team All-District selection in the 4x400M Relay and the triple jump.

In 2021-22, Daniels earned academic all-conference in basketball, softball, and track. She earned academic all-state in softball and track. Daniels was All-Conference Honorable Mention in the 4x400M Relay and the 4x100M Relay Team was a state qualifier.  

"We are juiced up for the signing of Ali Daniels," said head women's basketball coach Hunter Bondurant. "Ali is a tough nosed point guard who is absolutely fearless and loves to press, defend and get to the hoop. She is an absolute winner having led her team to the Missouri Class 4 Final Four last year and we are looking forward to watching her having a big senior season. Can't wait to have Ali on campus and winning games in Wilson Field House!"
 
Daniels is the daughter of Cori and Devey Daniels and plans to major in biology. She played travel ball for the Phenom under coach Dennis Bagget.
