OTTAWA, Kan. – Ottawa University head women's basketball coach Hunter Bondurant has announced the hiring of Parker Ehrke as an assistant coach for the Braves women's basketball program.
Ehrke joins Ottawa after spending the past three seasons on the coaching staff at Northwest Missouri State University, where he served as a graduate assistant from 2023-25 before being elevated to volunteer assistant for the 2025-26 season. During his time with the Bearcats, Northwest Missouri State compiled 56 victories, earned the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011 in 2024, defeated two top-five nationally ranked opponents during the 2024-25 campaign, and finished in the top five of the highly competitive Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) in 2025-26.

"We are so excited to welcome Parker to our staff," said Bondurant. "His background and experience across multiple levels of college basketball are rare to find. Adding someone who comes from a winning MIAA program will be a tremendous asset to our program. Parker is an extremely hard worker who will make an immediate impact, and he'll be a great representative of Ottawa University both inside Wilson Field House and throughout the Ottawa community."

As Northwest Missouri State's volunteer assistant, Ehrke played a key role in player development, scouting, recruiting, and team operations. He coordinated travel logistics, assisted with opponent scouting reports, organized recruiting visits, managed defensive matchups during games, and oversaw out-of-bounds play responsibilities. He also worked with players in individual training sessions, including helping develop professional-level talent during the offseason.

During his two seasons as a graduate assistant, Ehrke assisted with daily program operations, practice planning, scouting preparation, recruiting, travel coordination, and game management while helping the Bearcats continue their success at the NCAA Division II level.

Prior to Northwest Missouri State, Ehrke spent three seasons as a student assistant at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The Lopers won 75 games during his tenure, reached the NCAA Division II Sweet 16, captured the 2023 MIAA Tournament Championship, and finished among the nation's top programs in the Central Region. While at UNK, he worked extensively with post players, assisted with skill development, film breakdown, scouting, statistics, and game preparation.

Ehrke began his collegiate coaching career at McCook Community College, serving as a student assistant from 2018-20. During his time with the program, McCook advanced to the NJCAA Region IX Tournament in both 2019 and 2020. His responsibilities included practice planning, film analysis, statistical tracking, and in-game coaching support.

Ehrke earned a Master of Science in Applied Health and Sport Science from Northwest Missouri State University in 2025 after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a coaching minor from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2023. He also earned an Associate of Arts in Physical Education from McCook Community College in 2020. He is proficient in Synergy Sports software and has extensive experience in scouting, analytics, recruiting, and player development.
