KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Ottawa University men's wrestling team competed against three teams at the Eagle Duals. Ottawa defeated Waldorf on a tiebreaker, 27-27, but fell to Missouri Valley, 50-6, and Missouri Baptist, 49-6.
Ottawa vs. Waldorf – W, 27-27 (Won on a tiebreaker)
Jayden Nowell pinned Marco Gandy in the 141lb weight division.
Asher Larson won a 10-4 decision over Ronald Hooten in the 157lb weight class.
Parker Guge took down Ellis Hughes in the 174lb.
Jaron Alf and Dylan Weidl won by forfeit in their respective weight divisions, Alf in the 197lb and Weidl in the 285lb.
Ottawa vs. Missouri Valley
Parker Guge earned a fall victory over Braelen Toles in the 174lb weight division.
Ottawa vs. Missouri Baptist
Parker Guge won his third match of the day, Guge defeated Leonides Ruvalcaba on a fall.
