Ottawa snapped its six game losing streak to the Cardinals with a 63-62 exhibition win on Dec. 16, 2022 at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Mo. That win was also OU's first against WJC in Liberty. OU is 1-13 all-time against William Jewell at the Mabee Center. Wednesday will be the first time since Nov. 2, 2010 that the two teams will not be playing an exhibition game. The game will count towards OU's win/loss record. The first time the two teams met was in 1977 in Wilson Field House. WJC won the game 65-54.
NCAA Division II, William Jewell College is 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the GLVC. They are on a two game losing streak and enter Wednesday's game coming off an 81-80 loss to Southwest Baptist University.
