OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's wrestling team will be hosting the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles in a dual on Thursday in Wilson Field House.
The Braves competed at the UCM Open on November 24
th.
Marcus Grist earned third place in the 184lb weight division by winning three matches.
Spencer Rochelle placed sixth in the 184lb weight class, Rochelle won two matches.
Anthony Piaia won four matches in the 125lb weight division, which helped him secure sixth place.
Asher Larson won one match in the 149lb weight class on a 9-6 decision.
Parker Guge took down one opponent on a major decision in the 174lb weight division.
Ottawa faced off against Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2023 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The Braves took down the Eagles, 40-9.
Benjamin Pope got a win over Daniel Glenn on a 12-4 major decision in the 125lb weight division in that dual.
Ottawa is 5-0 against Oklahoma Wesleyan in program history. In the 2022-23 season, OU won 52-0 over OKWU.
After the OKWU dual, Ottawa will head to Crete, Nebraska to compete at Doane University on Saturday, December 7
th.
