Who is Mortarmer McPestle aka Morty is a Eutectic and the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis' mascot. "Eutectic" describes the scientific process of two solids being combined to form a liquid. A common term in pharmacy. The name Eutectic was submitted by a student for consideration in the naming of a new mascot in 1993, when then St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP) joined the NAIA. Previously, the athletic teams were known as the Volunteers and were represented by a purple dinosaur named "Rex" (Rx).
