Oskaloosa, Iowa- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to (6) William Penn in Oskaloosa on Saturday afternoon.
The game started relatively even with the Statesmen being ahead 4-3 after the first period. William Penn would pull ahead in the next two frames by scores of 8-1 and 9-1. After an even 1-1 fourth period, the game ended with a score of 22-6 in favor of William Penn.
Vincent DeMarco and
Reid McDowell scored three goals each for Ottawa, and
Luke Spells and
David Wiley had one assist each.
Jake Christopherson made 13 saves.
Ottawa (2-1, 0-0 KCAC) returns to the field on Monday, March 11 as they host Aquinas College at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to start at 6 PM.
