Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team won their second game in a row as they defeated Saint Mary by a score of 30-4 on Wednesday evening at AdventHealth Field.
Saint Mary creeped out to a small lead by scoring the first two goals, but Ottawa would take the lead back by scoring the next seven in the opening period. After a 6-2 second period, the Braves lead 13-4 at halftime. Ottawa used 10-0 and 7-0 periods to extend their lead.
Vicent DeMarco and
Reid McDowell scored eight goals each.
David Wiley scored six,
Ethan NewMyer scored five,
Jack Brackin scored two, and
Jacob Vincentini scored one. DeMarco made ten assists, Brackin made two. McDowell,
Gavin Nelson, and
Braydon Francis made one each.
Jake Christopherson made five saves.
With the win, Ottawa (5-6, 3-1 KCAC) has clinched a share of the KCAC Regular Season Championship. The Braves return to the field on Sunday, April 14 at 1 PM as they close out their regular season by hosting Saint Ambrose University at AdventHealth Field.
