Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team finished out their regular season with a win as they defeated St. Ambrose by a score of 17-3 on Sunday afternoon at AdventHealth Field.
The game began with fairly low scoring, the first half saw Ottawa use 2-0 and 2-1 first and second periods to take a 4-1 halftime lead. The Braves started to score more in the second half, using 7-2 and 6-0 third and fourth periods to cement their win.
Reid McDowell led Ottawa in scoring with six goals.
Braydon Francis and
Luke Spells scored three goals each, and
Vincent DeMarco scored two.
Mark Spells,
Joshua Curving, and
Jack Brackin scored one goal each. DeMarco made four assists,
William Carroll made three. Brackin made two, and
Samuel Snyder,
Jacob Vincentini, and
David Wiley made one assist each.
Jake Christopherson made 7 saves.
Ottawa ends the regular season with a 6-6 overall record and 3-1 in KCAC play. The Braves return to action on Thursday, April 18 at 4 PM as they take on Midland University in the opening round of the KCAC Tournament. That game will be held at Missouri Baptist University along with the rest of the tournament.
