OTTAWA, Kan. – Ottawa University women's track and field athlete, Jordyn Weems, has been named the Game One/adidas Scholar Athlete Player of the Week.

Weems, a junior from Grain Valley, Mo., set a school record and qualified for nationals in the long jump at the KT Woodman Classic last weekend in Wichita, Kan. She finished second in the long jump, hitting the NAIA A Standard with a mark of 19-03.25 (5.87M). She broke her own school record of 18-09.25 (5.72M) that was set at the Emporia State Relays on March 28. 

The OU track and field team is back in action at the KU Relays in Lawrence, Kan., April 18 through April 20.
