Men's Lacrosse Secures the KCAC Tournament Championship

St. Louis, Mo. - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team earned a KCAC Tournament Championship as they defeated Columbia by a score of 12-10 on Saturday afternoon.

Columbia had the early lead with a 5-1 first period, but Ottawa cut into that lead with a 4-2 second period. The Braves took the lead with a 5-1 third period, and preserved it with a 2-2 fourth period.

Vincent DeMarco led Ottawa with four goals. Samuel Snyder, William Carroll, and Reid McDowell scored two goals each. McDowell made four assists, DeMarco and David Wiley made two assists each.

Ottawa (8-6, 3-1 KCAC) has qualified automatically for the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational with their win. That tournament will be held from May 8-11 in Savannah, Georgia.
