Men's Lacrosse Falls to (1) Reinhardt in NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational Quarterfinals

Savannah, Ga.- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team ended their season with a loss as they fell to (1) Reinhardt by a score of 4-20 in the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational Quarterfinals on Wednesday morning.

Reinhardt scored the first goal of the game, and Ottawa quickly countered with a goal. The Eagles would go on to score the next five goals in the first period to take a 6-1 lead after the opening frame. Reinhardt then used a 3-0 second period to take a 9-1 halftime lead. Ottawa opened up the third period with the first two goals, and Reinhardt countered with the next four in the period. A 7-1 fourth period extended the Eagles' lead.

Vincent DeMarco scored three goals, Luke Spells scored one. Ethan NewMyer made two assists, David Wiley made one. Jake Christopherson made 14 saves.

Ottawa finishes the season with an 8-7 overall record and a 3-1 record in KCAC play. The Braves earned a share of the KCAC Regular Season title, and won the KCAC Tournament. Ottawa made their first NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational appearance, and had seven players named to All-KCAC teams.
