Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa women's lacrosse team picked up their second win in a row as they defeated Midland 14-8 on Saturday afternoon at AdventHealth Field.
Ottawa started off strong with a 7-1 first period, and retained their lead with a 2-2 second period. The Braves extended their lead with a 4-2 third period, and Midland clawed back slightly with a 3-1 fourth period.
Mackenzie Simmons lead Ottawa with five goals.
Curstin Brown,
Ashley Santillan, and Felecia Dixon scored two goals each.
KaiAnna Senne,
Isabella Pagliei, and
Faith Ruoff scored one goal each. Santillan and Senne made three assists each, Brown made one.
Shelby Bearden made six saves.
Ottawa (5-7, 2-1 KCAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, April 10 as they host Saint Mary at 4 PM at AdventHealth Field.
