York, Neb. - The Ottawa women's soccer team earned their first result of the season as they tied York, 1-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Ottawa struck first with a 10th minute goal by
Delanie DeHoyos, assited by
Makayla Remanente-Bailey. McKenzie Stricker tied the game up at one apiece in the 31st minute with a goal for York. A halftime score of 1-1, the final score would remain that after a scoreless second half.

Makayla Remanente-Bailey made her first assist.
Alondra Carbajal-Pettry made two saves in goal for the Braves.
Ottawa (0-5-1, 0-1-1 KCAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, September 25 as they host Oklahoma Wesleyan University at AdventHealth Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
